Introduction

The BIR-solo is a single persons view of the performance, management style and culture of an organization. The BIR-solo is a useful tool in itself - but much more powerful when the views of others are taken into account. While the BIR-solo is a real product with real outputs, we consider this the best way to 'test drive' our product. 

The BIR is a family of diagnostic tools aimed at identifying strengths and weaknesses in organizations. It allows a quick yet effective SWOT analysis to be undertaken.  This version covers most of the people factors required, for a full SWOT see our full product the BIR-s or BIR-c (smaller businesses).

The BIR SWOT analysis works to a simple model:

When we have KNOWLEDGE it leads to UNDERSTANDING which leads to more effective ACTION

This means that before we do anything we need to KNOW where we are (as an organization) and what is happening.With KNOWLEDGE it is easier to UNDERSTAND what is going on and why, so any ACTION proposed or undertaken is more effective.

What is the BIR-solo?

The BIR-solo is our single user version of our successful BIR.  It is available in all formats and is ideally suited to total web deployment as a marketing tool. 

While the data it provides back is robust, our research has shown that the most successful business reviews and diagnostic processes involve many people from inside and outside the organization.

We only use the BIR-solo as a taster tool or for students as part of their course work. We do not recommend developing business action plans on such limited data.

The BIR™ has been in constant improvement and development for almost 10 years.  We keep learning.  The success of the product is its approach.  We use a change management method of implementation which means things happen. To find out more CLICK HERE
